Hansa Therapy is a complementary, holistic approach to health that supports vitality and optimises functional living. Therapeutic concept and yogic philosophy are used to deconstruct asana, pranayama to provide an approach both student and client movement and well being.

Hansa Therapy develops the student’s ability to understand and apply advanced anatomy, biomechanics, developmental movement patterns and exploration of behavioral pattern to determine practice and re-patterning required to support wellnness.

Hansa Therapy training has a focus on self-awareness to enable students and teachers to experience therapeutic assesment, practice and consequence : informing their personal practice and abilities to work with others to determine supportive solutions. This multidimensional practice acknowledges and honours that true healing happens on all layers of the human experience.

In Shoulder Complex, you will learn :

  1. Biomechanics of functional, dynamic movement in the region of the head, cervical spine, and shoulder.
  2. The positioning of the head, and its relationship to the cervical spine, upper ribs and shoulders.
  3. Functional movement patterns that can create greater ease.
  4. Common patterns of dysfunction and disconnection in the head, neck and shoulder girdle
  5. Subtle bodywork and rehabilitation exercises that can bring greater ease to the region.
  6. Experiential upper-body management in basic asana poses to bring integration in asana,
    movement practices, or basic every day life.
